Project Noise Lab was born out of two friends’ shared conviction that clarity should never be a privilege—it should be accessible to everyone navigating uncertain systems.

Michael Lo and Stan Yao first met in New York City, where Michael was preparing to pursue his Master’s in Entrepreneurship in London and Stan was working as a data scientist. From opposite sides of the Atlantic, they kept refining an idea: what if they could turn the noise of chaotic markets into insight, and build tools that empower people and organizations to act with confidence?

What began as late-night conversations soon evolved into prototypes, research, and a bold mission: create transparency where there is none, and reinvest impact back into communities that share the same mindset.

 

Eventually, the two decided to return to their roots and establish Project Noise Lab in Taipei, Taiwan. Grounded in a city known for its resilience and global outlook, they built PNL not just as a company, but as a platform for collaboration. Every product they design reflects teamwork—Michael’s entrepreneurial vision paired with Stan’s data-driven systems thinking.

Today, Project Noise Lab continues to expand its reach, with one guiding belief: clarity inspires action, and action creates change. By transforming complexity into understanding, PNL is not only redefining how decisions are made—it’s helping to shape a more resilient, empowered world.
